This project proposes a comprehensive green infrastructure strategy for a flood-prone segment of Johnson Creek in Arlington, Texas. The design integrates ecological restoration with community-focused amenities, including expanded trail networks, floodplain rehabilitation, and the addition of recreational features such as inclusive playgrounds, outdoor fitness areas, and pollinator gardens. By reintroducing native wetland vegetation and improving stormwater capacity through detention areas, the plan aims to reduce erosion, mitigate flooding, and enhance connectivity between existing parks. The outcome is a multifunctional landscape that promotes environmental resilience and improves the quality of life for nearby residents.
